Grand Cuts is a Brooklyn-based commercial film and video production company built for high-stakes corporate work. We specialize in executive interviews, founder-led storytelling, and investor-facing video for companies that need polish, discretion, and a fast turnaround.

We've spent nearly 20 years directing CEOs, founders, and senior leaders on camera. We know how to walk into a room with executives we've never met, put them at ease, and pull out something real and usable in a limited window. We understand the sensitivity of the material we're trusted with, and we treat every project with the discretion it deserves.

Our process is built for fast-moving timelines. We communicate clearly, we come prepared, and we don't waste anyone's time. The feedback we hear most often from clients is that we're direct, organized, and easy to work with under pressure. That's not by accident. It's how we run every set, every interview, and every project from kickoff to final delivery.

BUDGET AND APPROACH

Total: $26,000

This covers a one-day shoot in San Francisco with two executive interviews, plus full editing and post-production through final delivery.

Included:

Pre-production, scheduling, and creative prep
One shoot day in San Francisco or New York
Two-camera 4K interview setup, professionally lit and recorded
Director, DP, and small senior crew on set
Editing and post-production
Motion graphics and title cards
Music licensing and sound mix
Three rounds of edits
Captioned version
Final delivery in presentation-ready formats (1080p, 59.94 fps, ProRes , MP4)

Assumptions:

One location in San Francisco or New York, 2 backgrounds / looks
Client provides general narrative, script, and b-roll if needed
On-site broll capture if available outside of exec interview schedules
Shoot week of 6/1, first draft by 6/8, final delivery by 6/12

Key Team Members

Marshall McDonald — Director / Principal Marshall leads every Grand Cuts project from creative through delivery. After graduating film school, he spent 14 years in the ad agency world across management, creative, development, and operations, followed by nearly 20 years directing, shooting, interviewing, and editing. He specializes in executive and founder-led interviews, and is known for running calm, prepared sets and pulling real, unrehearsed moments out of the people in front of the camera.

Crew Grand Cuts maintains a deep roster of vetted local crew in both New York and San Francisco — DPs, producers, sound, gaffers, and grips we've worked with over years of productions. We staff each project based on the city, scope, and creative needs, so the team on set is always the right fit for the work.
